Repeat-offender and bot-flood handling
Repeat-offender handling recognises the accounts and networks that spam your channel again and again — including the bot waves that arrive minutes after you publish — and removes their comments automatically.
Spam is rarely a one-off
The same handful of networks hit the same channels over and over. They also time their arrival: a flood of comments lands in the minutes after you publish, when your video is getting its most concentrated traffic and you are least likely to be watching the comment section.
Treating each comment as an isolated event misses this. Treating the account and the pattern as the unit of detection catches a serial spammer on their second comment rather than their hundredth.
How the pattern is handled
- Accounts with a history of spamming your channel are recognised on sight
- Coordinated waves of near-identical comments from different accounts are treated as one event
- Bursts timed to a new upload are caught during the burst, not after it
- Repetitive promotional comments are removed even when the wording changes between posts
Clearing what has already built up
New protection does not help with the spam already sitting under older videos. PRO plans include a monthly deep clean of your last 100 videos, which clears the accumulated backlog rather than only guarding against what arrives next.
