What RemoveSpam actually does

RemoveSpam does one job: it keeps spam, scam and bot comments out of your YouTube comment sections, continuously and without you having to review anything. Here is how each part of that works.

Real-time spam comment deletion

Real-time spam deletion means a spam comment on your channel is detected and deleted within 1 to 3 seconds of being posted, with nobody having to look at it first.

Scam and impersonation detection

Impersonation detection finds comments pretending to be you — a copied display name and avatar, a "message me on Telegram" instruction, a fake prize — and deletes them before your viewers act on them.

Malicious link and domain blocking

Link blocking removes comments carrying phishing, malware and scam destinations from your channel automatically, including links hidden behind URL shorteners and lookalike domains.

Repeat-offender and bot-flood handling

Repeat-offender handling recognises the accounts and networks that spam your channel again and again — including the bot waves that arrive minutes after you publish — and removes their comments automatically.

Moderation analytics dashboard

The dashboard shows every comment RemoveSpam deleted from your channel, the reason each one was flagged, and how your channel’s spam volume moves over time.

What it deliberately does not do

RemoveSpam is not a social media management suite. There is no unified inbox, no publishing calendar, no analytics for other platforms, and no AI that writes replies for you. If you need those, a broader tool is the right purchase and the comparison page says which.

There is also no approval queue. RemoveSpam deletes and then logs what it deleted, rather than holding comments for you to review — because a scam comment sitting in a queue overnight is still a scam comment your viewers can see. If you would rather sign off on every action, that is a real preference, and CommentShark is built that way.
