One person, 6 years, and a lot of scam comments

RemoveSpam is built and run by Dan. It is not a big company with a support queue: the person who writes the detection rules is the person who answers your email.

Why this exists

Scam comments are not aimed at creators. They are aimed at the people watching. An account copies a creator's name and profile picture, replies to a viewer with a fake giveaway or a “message me on Telegram”, and the viewer believes they are talking to the creator. When they lose money, they often blame the creator, who never knew the conversation happened.

That is the problem RemoveSpam was built for. A comment section full of scams costs a channel its viewers' trust, and the creator's reputation with it, even when the creator did nothing wrong.

How the detection is maintained

Scam networks change their wording, their names and their links constantly, so detection that is written once and left alone stops working within weeks. RemoveSpam runs on a large and growing database of patterns and expressions that Dan reviews and adapts every day, based on what is actually being removed across the channels it protects.

It works in any language the scammers use. It is also deliberately narrow: it removes scams, impersonation, malicious links and bot floods, and leaves criticism, disagreement and ordinary off-topic comments alone. Every removal is logged in your dashboard, so you can check its work rather than take it on trust.

Who uses it

Most protected channels are crypto, finance and tech creators, because that is where scams pay best and so concentrate hardest. The same scams increasingly target any channel with a trusting audience: gaming, beauty, music, fitness, education and more. If scammers are replying to your viewers, it is built for you, whatever the topic.

It is not the right tool for everyone. If your spam volume is low, YouTube's own free tools may be enough, and we say so in our comparison of every option.

killspam.app

killspam.app was another YouTube spam tool that has since shut down. RemoveSpam now owns the domain, which is why it redirects here. If you arrived from an old killspam.app link, this is the service that took its place.
